SAP PO

SAP Process Orchestration: Scalable and Code-Free Integration for Enterprise Systems

SAP Process Orchestration (SAP PO) is a standards-based integration platform that enables rapid and flexible system connectivity through a code-free development approach. Its native proxy integration with SAP ERP provides optimized performance and monitoring capabilities, making it a distinctive SAP-native solution for enterprise-grade connectivity. SAP PO plays a central role in process integration across SAP solutions such as BPM, MDM, SAP SRM, SAP EWM, and cloud-based platforms including Workday, SuccessFactors, and Ariba. Acting as an orchestration layer within the enterprise architecture, SAP PO accelerates the implementation of end-to-end integration scenarios by leveraging pre-delivered metadata and reusable interface components. Thanks to its robust functionality and extensibility, SAP PO has become the most widely adopted enterprise application integration (EAI) platform in Korea. Since its launch in October 2004, SAP PO has been implemented in over 8,100 customer environments globally, and has established itself as a core component of SAP NetWeaver for process orchestration. Its rapid deployment capabilities and seamless ERP integration have positioned it as a market leader in the enterprise integration space.

RTIMS (Real Time Interface Monitoring System)

RTIMS is a real-time interface monitoring solution from a business perspective developed by applying the experience and technology accumulated over 20 years in the EAI field.  RTIMS provides information on monitoring dashboards (personalized screens and information by role), transaction status, interface status, performance, statistics/trends/patterns on system resources, etc.  This increases the convenience and speed of monitoring data analysis, recognition, and detection.

Need for RTIMS

The monitoring functions provided by default in EAI solutions are difficult for general business managers without technical understanding to access.

For this reason, most of the information regarding interfaces and whether the interface is normal is shared through EAI operators.

RTIMS is a solution to resolve these inconveniences by providing monitoring information from a business perspective, enabling an intuitive understanding of the system and interface.

IFM

Interface Management

It is a solution that systemizes various interface work processes inside and outside the company, establishing a close communication system between business personnel and providing efficiency and control of interface work through a consistent standard management system.

Need for IFM

When building an existing EAI solution, there were no tools for standardizing the company-wide integrated interface, managing construction procedures, and communicating with people in charge of linked systems, so the larger the project size, the more difficult it was. In post-construction operation, problems with current information over time led to a decrease in efficiency in maintenance and response to failures. The existing interface management method is managed manually (Excel files) by the person in charge and stored through a file server, which causes problems with change history management and version management. In addition, there were difficulties in retrieving and analyzing information such as the person in charge of each interface, connection method, and communication method. As the number of interfaces and linked systems increases, this manual management method has lower efficiency and problems with implementation, resulting in the need to systematize interface management work. This has been increased.

IFM Key Features

01  CSR Progress Management : Establishment of I/F Management System

02  I/F Current Management : Interface life cycle management, disposal of unused

03  I/F Mapping Definition History Management  : Revision History, Document Version

04  I/F 업무 진행 효율성 향상 : 명확한 의사소통,

이력 및 업무 진행 상태 실시간 공유

05  Expandable to company-wide I/F management system (EAI/ETL/B2B)

06  Easy to apply interface standardization system  (I/F ID, naming rules, patterns)

07  Improvement of linked service quality  : Response to requests from business personnel

· Detection and synchronization of services subject to disposal: Due to the nature of linked work, it is provided as a means of collaboration, communication, and history management for each work process unit.

· Improving the efficiency of interface management tasks: Resolving I/F current issues and management system problems

02

Automating the construction of interface services

Automated creation and version information management of interface service component objects of EAI solutions based on interface standard information, meta information, and interface mapping definition information

· Provides convenience for creating/managing design documents for interface construction

· Check consistency between design documents and construction services: Solve management update issues

· Technology for realizing the DevOps model in the design, construction, and verification areas

03

Interface Governance

Easy to apply interface standardization system

(Application principles, implementation methods, management standards, etc.)

· Registration management by standardizing interface ID, interface naming rules, linkage patterns, etc.

· Provide automation information for construction and application guide based on registered meta information (standard information)

04

Interface-based information management

Register and manage relevant standard information required to build/manage interfaces

· Interface information: business criteria group/name, technical  information

  (synchronous/asynchronous, link direction, etc.)

· Linked message structure: Source/target message structure and Definition of conversion information

05

Interface Service Status Dashboard

Provides aggregate information on interface construction progress in various types of views

· Utilize various graphs and components

CASE STUDY

SmartShift – Implementation Case for SAP PO to Integration Suite Migration

Minimizes changes to connected target systems during migration by preserving existing interface configurations and integration endpoints.

01

SAP System Integration (Reuse of Existing Connectivity)

· Transition from ABAP Proxy: Maintain or convert to SOAP communication

· For RFC Sender, consider appropriate 3rd party solutions

02

SAP System Integration (Next-Generation SAP Integration)

· OData connection: Latest standard

  - Reusable interface design through API service & interface sharing sharing and reuse design

· Utilize API Management for governance

03

NON-SAP Systems

(Standardized Integration Protocol)

· SAP IS standard adapter support method

  - HTTP/SOAP, REST, FILE, etc.

04

NON-SAP System Integration

(Utilizing 3rd Party)

· Distributed 3rd party adapters for SAP IS

· Separation of load/support and performance optimization

· Extended JDBC support

· Compatible with PO XML-SQL communication method

· Acts as a security proxy

Template-Based Migration Framework Using Inspien’s Integration Patterns with SAP Tools Leverage Inspien's standardized integration templates to extract key service components from SAP PO and complete your migration with efficiency and precision.
